i am planning a fishing trip to astor fl on the st johns river. i am wanting to know if anyone knows how the top of the water is. is there any lilypad, marsh, or just anytype of coverage ike that around the astor fl area. i just love to fish with frog lures and lily pads are just plain fun to fish around. just wanting to know that and have any of yall done ny night fishing for catfish out there. thanks and good fishing. if yall want to go more the merrier. i will be there last week of july at astor landing and campground

You'll have grass, lillypads, sticks and weeds a many. Just wondering, have you checked this place out?

Reply:Can't say I've been on the St. John's through Astor, but I know you'll find lilys, cattails, sedges, all kinds of surface cover if you look for it, not much of a flow through most of the St. John's and we are in a subtropical climate.
