Beetles attacking my Lilies?

My lilies are being eaten by small, red beetles. They look a bit like ladybirds but have an angular body, anyone know what they are?(Not water lilies)

Beetles attacking my Lilies?
They are called Lily Beetles, and for good reason; They absolutely decimate the foliage of all lilies, leaving them wide open to infection and invasion by other pests. The best thing to do is check your lilies every day, morning and evening, and remove the blighters. Dispose of them however you want but I find the best thing is to drop them on the floor and crush them underfoot.
Reply:They could be lily beetles

Reply:Lilly beetles, squash them
Reply:They are lily beetles. Bright red shiny ones. Bit bigger than a ladybird. They will destroy your lilies if you let them.Best way is to pick them off by hand.on a daily basis. For further info google lily beetle.
Reply:lily beetles that's your problem dunno what to do
Reply:ad the same prob ..they normally come in pairs ..their always mating...then leave their larva thats what eats the lilly leaves ..check lillys every day ...pick of the beetles and squash them ..they are actually a foreign beetle ..they have a very long name that i cant remember but there was a big write up in our local paper about them last wk ...
Reply:You won't be surprised to learn that they're called red lily beetles. Difficult to deal with them though.
