Why is the water lily able to hold frogs on top of it where else its leaf is very light??

If you have taken chemistry I am sure you would spend a chapter on surface tension and any other unusual properties of water. Water has very high surface tension.

Why is the water lily able to hold frogs on top of it where else its leaf is very light??
water lily leaves have an edge to them and they are kind of glued to the water like skin ,the frog is not very heavy.so the leaf out of the water will flop and can not hold the frog but glued to the water it can because of the surface tension
