We let her outside while cooking dinner. About 9 pm, and when we did she waswalking on her 2 front legs and holding one back leg up. Her bottom end was so heavy she kept collapsing. We had to lock her knees for her so she could take baby steps to move. We gave her 2 Advils in balogna not knowing that it was posinis to dogs. And 3 more at about 3am when we took her outside where she didn't go to the bathroom. We aren't sure if she can't go or if she doesn't have to. Then we put her in her chair and turned on the air condishoner. She was nervos and short of breath. We rubed and petted her thinking it would be her last night with us. My mom called our vet that comes to us, Dr.Frank. He didn't answer, but called back this morning at 6. He said no more advil and said either to not let her have food and water, or to go ahead and let her. My mom isn't sure which he said. We let her have a little, but she has been sleeping. We hope it doesn't shut down her kidneys. He think it might be a disc
My dog, Lily's back legs and back end quit last night?
take her to the vet now! any vet1 her spinal chord may be broken1 see if she can feel pain in her hind legs. pinch her foot. it she does not respond that can mean a serious problem1 now get off the cpu and get your dog to a vet NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:dont give her advil and a emergency vet/vet u need
Reply:take her into a vet..what are you waiting for...you can legally be held by the law if you medically PUT OFF medical treatment for this dog...
Reply:You don't say how old the dog is. If she's old and it's her time, please don't let her suffer because you can't bring yourself to put her down. Think of quality of life of a beloved pet, not yourselves.
Something is very wrong - get her to a vet that will take action now.
Reply:Did you consider actually taking her into the vet for an exam? Maybe he could give her some steroids and pain killers. Or maybe he would look to see if she were hit by a car and had other injuries.
Reply:My dogs back legs weren't doing too well a few years ago so we took her to the vet. It turned out she had lime disease, that was all so she got put on antibiotics.
Reply:That vet is in idiot. Advil is very toxic to dogs. Also, she could have damaged or caused swelling to the spine. Your doggie is in serious trouble %26amp; needs a GOOD vet.
Reply:Dont let anyone do surgery on her until you ask them to put her on steroids and an antiobotic..My dogs (3) of them have experienced this and with rest and the proper meds Lily should get better..I hope she does ok....Good Luck...my dogs got better...
Reply:cole pillars is a chubs
Reply:You need to get her to a vet ASAP... no questions asked
Reply:TAKE HER TO THE VETS!
DON'T WAIT!
OR CALL A BETTER VET WHO WILL ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Good Luck x
